Riley Irwin

Raised in Pinedale, Wyoming- the gateway to the Wind River Mountains, where riders find some of the most premiere backcountry terrain in the world; Riley Irwin found his love for snowmobiling. Born into a family that treated weekend snowmobile rides as a mandatory outing, he has been riding since he could walk. From jumping the old model Yamaha Phazers in his backyard, to riding the vast powdered jungle of the Wyoming Range, he has taken his talents to the course to compete in the most iconic snowmobile hill climb circuit in the west- RMSHA.

By living at the base of the Wyoming Range this allows for the most desirable backcountry terrain to be at his fingertips for practice and training. Riley has trained with fellow professional snowmobile athletes such as David Sharp Jr, Sandy Sletten, Scott Cheeney, Aaron Sterck, Blaine Matthews, and many others. Snowmobiling is more than a sport for Riley; he has made it his lifestyle. Not your typical college student, Riley can be found deep in the mountains on Saturdays and Sundays, regardless of the college social schedule. While competing in one of the most expensive “extra-curricular” activities, he started his own business during the summer to help fund his insurmountable passion for his winter racing career.

At the young age of seventeen he began racing the RMSHA circuit. With much success, Riley qualified for finals day at every race during the 2014 season. He was also one of the only rookies to compete in Jackson. Going into his third year of racing, he hopes to capture as many semi-pro titles as possible as well as elevate his level of racing. He looks forward to the 2016 season and wants to thank all of his new and existing sponsors for their continuous support.
